Sono però somme doverose e necessarie che portano benefici diretti e indiretti alla popolazione. Si parla di vantaggi indiretti dovuti al miglioramento delle condizioni del nostro Pianeta, poiché si andrebbe a ridurre le emissioni di CO2 con la speranza di invertire la tendenza delle conseguenze dei cambiamenti climatici. I benefici diretti invece si possono individuare nei nuovi posti di lavoro che le fonti rinnovabile creano. Il Fondo Monetario Internazionale ha stimato che saranno più di 14 milioni di nuove occupazioni nel mondo, all’interno di un totale di 30 milioni dati da tutto il progetto di transizione ecologica.

Questi nuovi operatori avranno però bisogno di formazione e riqualificazione che comportano costi i quali sono però considerati all’interno dei 20 miliardi sopra citati. Gli investimenti di Sicilia ed Emilia-Romagna per parchi eolici

Sicilie ed Emilia-Romagna sono due Regioni italiane che hanno già in ballo due progetti importanti in tali termini. Si tratta della realizzazione di due parchi eolici. In Sicilia prenderà vita un parco eolico da 60 Km per un costo totale di 9 miliardi di euro. Il parco avrà poi uno scopo aggiuntivo. A gareggiare tra loro sono SUV elettrici uguali per tutti i team in gara. Ad essere eccezionali sono le motivazioni di tale competizioni e i luoghi in cui si svolgono le corse. L'Extreme E è infatti il primo sport nato per sensibilizzare su e combattere la crisi climatica. L'obiettivo della serie è quello di utilizzare le corse fra auto elettriche per mettere in risalto ambienti remoti a rischio per i cambiamenti climatici. La spinta deve essere quella di incoraggiare tutti noi ad intraprendere azioni positive per proteggere il futuro del nostro pianeta.

Questo tipo di iniziativa potrebbe sembrare un controsenso dal momento che il 30% delle emissioni di CO2 del pianeta proviene dai trasporti, e le protagoniste di queste gare sono proprio delle auto che girano per tutto il mondo. In realtà Extreme E esiste per mostrare le prestazioni che hanno i veicoli elettrici. La prima gara automobilistica della Groenlandia

“La Groenlandia è un posto incredibile e sono felice di organizzare il primo evento di motorsport del Paese. La squadra che ha lavorato dietro le quinte per far sì che questo si realizzasse, nel remoto Artico, è stata eccezionale. - ha affermato Alejandro Agag, fondatore e Ceo di Extreme E - Vogliamo evidenziare la situazione dell’isola del Mar Artico e affrontare argomenti come lo scioglimento del ghiaccio e l’innalzamento del livello del mare. Credo siamo davanti a un punto di svolta nella crisi climatica”.

Queste sono le motivazioni che hanno portato Extreme E a sbarcare il Groenlandia. La regione del Mar Artico ha ospitato per la prima volta una corsa automobilistica. All’interno del week-end di gara ci sarà tempo per divertirsi vedendo sfrecciare i formidabili SUV elettrici e sensibilizzarsi. Prima della Groenlandia, al fine di sensibilizzare sull'innalzamento dei mari, i 9 team si erano sfidati ad Alula in Arabia Saudita. Qui era importante portare alla luce il problema della desertificazione. C’era stata la possibilità di correre in Amazzonia per riflettere sulla deboschizzazione del nostro Polmone, ma alla fine si è volati in Sardegna per acuire l’attenzione sui problemi che i cambiamenti climatici comportano alle isole.

Questo tipo di progetti ha come unico scopo metterci davanti all’evidenza che è possibile fare qualcosa per il nostro pianeta e che noi dobbiamo essere i primi a muoverci in questa direzione. Nella vita quotidiano solo molte le scelte, anche piccole, utili e necessarie che possiamo adottare.

Greenland’s first car race

These are the reasons that led Extreme E to land Greenland. The Arctic Sea region hosted for the first time an automobile race. Before Greenland, in order to raise awareness about rising seas, the 9 teams had challenged at Alula in Saudi Arabia. Here it was important to bring to light the problem of desertification. There had been the opportunity to run in the Amazon to reflect on the weakness of our lung, but in the end we flew to Sardinia to sharpen the attention on the problems that climate change bring to the islands.
