There is no region or nation that in the World is not paying in some way the consequences. The data shows that from now on the situation is ready to fall faster and faster, but you can reverse the course. As reported in the UN Report you must act immediately and on a large scale, COP26 will be crucial for this.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][dfd_spacer screen_wide_spacer_size="50" screen_normal_resolution="1024" screen_tablet_resolution="800" screen_mobile_resolution="480"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][dfd_heading subtitle="" delimiter_settings="delimiter_style:solid|delimiter_width:80|delimiter_height:1" undefined="" title_font_options="tag:h2" subtitle_font_options="tag:div" tutorials=""]

Warnings on climate change

Recently, the UN has released the first part of the sixth IPCC report drafted by the group of scientists experts in climate change. The figures reported are extremely worrying and alarming. In fact they report as if you do not act quickly and on a large scale in ten years global warming will be equal to 2,0.5% more than the 1.5% required by current studies.

The effects of warming are on the climate that the Report describes we are seeing and suffering already today, but they may get worse. We are talking about fires, floods, rising seas, increased humidity, coastal erosion, too much drought or rain and much more. The most alarming thing is that all these phenomena occur more and more frequently even in places where they are highly atypical.

Climate change is influenced both by the companies and by the choices of each of us, but we are also those who, together with the rest of the planet, pay the most. There is still hope and the UN Report also outlines the solutions that must be put in place by making a focus region by region, which is also very useful for COP26.

"Strong and constant reductions in carbon dioxide (CO2) and other greenhouse gases would limit climate change."
But what is COP26? It is the 26th edition of the Conference of Parties, which took place in 1995 in Berlin. This is the annual meeting of the 154 countries that signed the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Rio in 1992. Over the years, the COP has made it possible to achieve important results such as the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement.

This edition will be held a pre-meeting in Milan from 28 September to 2 October consisting of round tables, debates and entertainment. 400 young people were invited to join the Youth4climate Driving Ambition, with the task of putting together ideas to be taken to Glasgow from 1 to 12 November 2021. In fact, it will be on this occasion that 30,000 delegates will meet, including Heads of State, climate experts and activists, to agree on a coordinated action plan to tackle climate change.

UN Report and COP26 inspire hope

The ecological transition must start from the top, but it must be a priority for each of us. The consequences of past actions are becoming accelerating every day, but with targeted and large-scale operations, if we act now, we can stem them. However, we must not be discouraged if the results do not arrive immediately because to reverse the trend will take some time, the important thing is to continue to pursue the objective.[/vc_column_text][dfd_spacer screen_wide_spacer_size="15" screen_normal_resolution="1024" screen_tablet_resolution="800" screen_mobile_resolution="480"][vc_column_text]Extreme E, an car championship to raise awareness of climate change[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
